A poem I worked on with the help of Laurel Foell.
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does that dream become a burden
Like a heart that's always hurting?
Or does it eat away at me
Like a woodpecker on a tree?
Does it have immortality,
Staying around past my reality?
Does it blow in the breeze
Or does it stay around and never ever cease?
Does my dream ever become real
Unlike monsters in the closet, hungry for a meal?
Will my dream wait for me,
Like a soldier heading to his family?
Will I ever forget,
This dream that I have never ever met?
Where did my dream go?
No one will ever know.

One brick at a time.
Life is all about taking things one step at a time. You take the task at hand and you do it to the best of your abilities. You relentlessly strive to be the best person you can be in that moment. Just like trying to build a wall, you want to do it one brick at a time. You don't set out to build a wall. You don't try to build the best wall ever. You don't say, "Im going to make the biggest, baddest wall ever built." You try to lay every single brick as best as that brick can possibly be laid, and soon you have a wall. Take everything one step at a time. One good rep is better than 5 bad ones. Do the task at hand as best as it possibly can be done.

Words to live by
Potential doesn't mean shit. It's all about how far you take it.
Clear eyes, full heart, can't lose.
You gotta want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe.
If you know what youre worth go out and get what youre worth.
Time is the most precious commodity, it is the only thing you cant ever buy or buy back.
Pain is temporary. It may last for a minute, an hour, a day, or even a year. But eventually it will subside. And something else will take it's place.
Chest up, eyes up.
Life's good.
Clear eyes, full heart, can't lose.
You gotta want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe.
If you know what youre worth go out and get what youre worth.

I discontinued my Twitter endeavors recently. I'm sure it was to the dismay of close to 500 followers. I just cannot deal with the constant negativity I see everyday. I dont want to have to go on to only see people indirectly bashing each other. What makes me irritated is when people are indirectly confronting each other. These twitter fights are people publicly sending out hate mail knowing all too well that the person they are bashing will see it. Apparently we're too technologically advanced to confront each other publicly. It just doesnt make sense. And everyone thinks Twitter becomes exciting when people are fighting on it. I find it very disturbing. I find it disturbing that we live in an era where sitting behind a screen gives people false senses of confidence. Things are put on twitter that would never be said in a face to face conversation. The worst part about social media, is the lack of being able to decipher emotions. A emoticon or emoji is not going to do the trick.
The biggest reason I left twitter was because of all the negativity. There's not enough positive messages being spread around twitter. I want to close my twitter app with a smile on my face, not regretting that I opened it in the first place. So I guess I took the path of ignorance is bliss. I do not want to subject myself to the daily tribulations that is Twitter. Leaving twitter was hard considering that I would call myself a twitter addict. I enjoyed putting a smile on people's face. Its one of the greatest feelings in the world. Getting positive responses to my tweets made me feel great and Im glad it made others feel the same way. Well I guess this is the only place to share my thoughts now.

Thought Provoking Ideas
About a week ago I watched the movie Inception with my family. This is one of my favorite movies. It really is a thought provoking movie. It forces you to think on a higher level. Could this movie ever happen in real life? Probably not. Nonetheless, it got me thinking about life.
Have you ever wondered if life is all one big dream? In the movie Leonardo Di Caprio explains that when dreaming, the brain consistently creates the dream and perceives the dream. It does this so well that we cannot even tell its happening. It is like we are discovering the dream for the first time. What if life is really just you and as far as your eye can see. What if the world, beyond what you perceive at the moment, just ceases to exist. What if the only thing that was real was your own little bubble that you live in. The people we see each and every day are just creations of our minds. What if our brain is just creating a world and we just perceive it? This may not make sense because it is a hard idea to convey. Lets put it this way. Imagine youre in a room with your family. They all seem like they exist but lets say you leave the room and cannot see them anymore. What if they ceased to exist when we couldnt perceive them with our senses? What if the world outside of what we could grasp with our senses was not there?
This may not make a lot of sense and obviously it has its flaws but its an idea I thought I would share as my first post.
